Lagos ranked second on world’s most stressful cities

 Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial hub, has been ranked second among the most stressful cities in the world.

This is consistent with the 2021 Least and Most Stressful Cities Index, released on Thursday by VAAY


In arriving at the list, the report considered factors like safety and security, sociopolitical stability, population density, air, light, and sound pollution levels, the quantity of traffic jam and weather .


According to VAAY, the smallest amount and Most Stressful Cities Index 2021 compares and analyses 100 global cities for indicators associated with stress.



“The cities were chosen for their size and significance, also as for their availability of reliable and comparable data,” the report said.


“The study consists of 4 broad categories – governance, city, finance and citizens’ health – each made from individual stress indicators that determine how stressful a city is to measure in.”


Reykjavik in Iceland and Bern in Switzerland made it to the list as first and second world’s least cities in 2021. And Mumbai in India is that the world’s most stressful city in 2021.
