Bruno Fernandes scores winner as Man Utd send Liverpool packing
Manchester United came back from one goal down to send Liverpool out of the FA Cup with a 3-2 win at Old Trafford on Sunday night.

Bruno Fernandes sealed the win for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men with a sublime second-half freekick, giving Allison Becker no chance.

Mohammed Salah opened the scoring for the visitors against the attacking run of play in the 18th minute with a brilliant chip over Henderson but his opener was cancelled by Mason Greenwood eight minutes later after a sublime pass from Marcus Rashford.

With three minutes into the second half, Rashford put his mane on the score sheet, giving United the lead for the first time in the game with a cool finish from a Greenwood pass which Rhys William failed to clear.

It looked like United were going to run away with the 2-1 win but Liverpool had other plans as Mohammed Salah bagged his brace ten minutes after with an assist from Roberto Firmino.

But it was the Red Devils who had the last say when super-sub Fernandes converted a close range free kick into the right corner of the Liverpool goal in the 78th minute.

Fernandes almost assisted United’s fourth moments later, after spotting Edinson Cavani with a pin-point cross only for his header which clearly beat Alisson to bounce back off the woodwork in the 90th minute.
Ole Gunnar Solsksjaer’s men sent Jurgen Klopp’s side out of the fourth round to set up a fifth round encounter with former manager, David Moyes’s West Ham.
